The Interchurch Center dedication was held on May 29, 1960

More than 3,500 people attended the dedicatory services. The keys were presented to William Demorest, Chairman of the Building Committee and the ribbon was cut by Edmund F. Wagner, President of The Board of Trustees. Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony, Edmund F. Wagner, presented a scroll to John D. Rockefeller, 3rd, in honor of his father John D. Rockefeller, Jr. in appreciation for his contributions to the establishment of The Interchurch Center. The scroll can be found in the Riverside Lobby outside the Orthodox Room.
