THE AFFAIR OF THE BRUSH

THE AFFAIR OF THE BRUSH

I have spent many years on a long journey from representational to abstract art. Along the way, I have discovered that color is a critical element in my work. I view my art as a reflection of my soul. By using strong vibrant colors, I convey energy, anxiety, pain and harmony. I believe color is strongly tied in with my emotions. Each of my paintings is rich with many layers, shades and nuances of color, which flow in and out of simple geometric and organic shapes. I paint to try to interpret my environment and capture it through the intensity of color.
In addition to enjoying my art, I hope that viewers interpret my work to see their own emotions as well as mine in each piece. I want the viewer to personalize the painting and own it emotionally.
