Brian R. Bodager, Esq.

Born and raises in Ohio, Brian received his bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University. Interested in law and business he continued his education at the graduate level, and received his JD from Case Western Reserve University's Law School and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University's business school.

Brian's early career after graduating from law school was as Assistant Counsel in the corporate development department of a bank holding company, and then as General Counsel for an insurance company, both based in Ohio.

In 1992 Brian was recruited to join Associated Bank-Corp as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary, and he and his family relocated to Green Bay, Wisconsin. For this publicly traded bank holding company, Brian was part of the senior leadership team. Over his 20-year tenure, he played a key role in the growth of the organization from a small community bank with $1 billion in assets to a large regional bank with over $23 billion in assets. He was responsible for general legal affairs as well as mergers and acquisitions, compliance, purchasing, facilities, and marketing. He negotiated numerous acquisitions, and integrated these businesses into Associated Bank-Corp, including five trust businesses. Reporting to the CEO, Brian oversaw a staff of upwards of 300 people. He was the CEO of three offshore investment companies, as well as CEO of the insurance business line, the captive life insurance company and the insurance brokerage unit.

Brian left the bank in 2012 to pursue more entrepreneurial ventures, and today serves as a Principal for the private equity and early stage funding company, Performance Sciences, LLC based in Wisconsin.

Many of you know Brian from his 12 years as an active Board member of the Pension Boards. He has been a member of the Executive Committee as well as the Enterprise Risk, Personnel, Actuarial and Eligibility Committees.
